Projects

Riverwood has been involved in many exciting projects, some of which are ongoing. Below are a few examples:

Thames Barrier - Woolwich, London (2008) :

The Thames Barrier information centre offers information, educational activities and workshops for schools and visitors.

Riverwood were commissioned to produce frames for the information plaques that are situated around the Thames Barrier Centre.


Cauliflower Planters - River Thames (2007) :

A Manchester based art project commissioned Riverwood to create large planters on a piece of land alongside the River Thames.


Tate Modern - London (March 2006) :

Riverwood and London Wood Recycling project were commissioned to build a shed from reclaimed wood and two bespoke benches for a private garden at the Tate.

We also helped with the clearing and landscaping of the garden.


Green Chain Walk - Greenwich, London (2003 ongoing) :

The green chain open spaces cover an area as large as about 2500 football pitches. These areas thread from 3 points on the River thames 16 ˝ miles to Crystal Palace Park, offering everything from allotments and playing fields to woodlands and park lands.

Riverwood has made and installed 40 benches along some of the routes of the walk.


Sutcliffe Park - Greenwich London (2003/2004) :

Sutcliffe Park is a large park situated in the Eltham, London. It was re-landscaped in 2003 as a wetland area, with the Quaggy river running through it.

Riverwood were commissioned to produce and install blocks and benches for a large communal seating area.


Sensory Garden @ Forum - Greenwich, London (2000) :

The Forum @ Greenwich is a community Centre that offers superb facilities for many local businesses and groups.

Riverwood’s 1st project was the design, production and installation of a fountain and benches in a sensory garden at the Forum in Greenwich.

The many users of the community centre have an outdoor space to enjoy.
