Philip Meakins - Project Manager
The first part of my career was really about making money whilst working in finance industry. I began to question the whole financial industry and my part in it and had always been an environmentalist and realised profit making and its protection were not compatible. So when seven years ago this post come about which involved both helping people and the environment I thought I had won the lottery. I now come to work thinking even on a very challenging day I am still helping people and the environment.
Terri Looker - Workshop Facilitator
I spent many years working for The Royal Mail but left for a number of years to enjoy motherhood. I then decided that I wanted to work in the local community and the post at Riverwood came up. The rest is history!
Anthony Lainson - Carpenter
Hannah Blakey - Support
I previously worked with children with special educational needs, which I've always really enjoyed and gained lots of experience from.
Working at Riverwood is very fulfilling and I now really enjoy carpentry as well!
Cara Shorter - Trainer and Project Administrator
I started work as a draughtsperson within various areas of the building trade. I re-trained as a teacher of design and technology but things were still set to change! I've been with Riverwood since the beginning and am also involved in other community groups in both teaching and administrative roles.
Vic Edwards
I was walking along the street when I was splashed by Riverwoods manager Phil when he drove through a puddle. We got talking and the rest is history.
